Job Role: Software Test Engineer

Salary: £40k - £45k per annum

Overview:

Moasure is looking for a talented software test engineer to work on our mobile apps and embedded software for our measurement products. 

You will be a part of our strong research and development team which includes electronics hardware, embedded software and mobile apps.In addition to manual and product testing you will be involved in other elements of testing such as the backend services which support the application (unit testing) and any future expansion of the testing process in to the cloud.

The work you do will be crucial to the success of our products from an application, hardware and services perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual testing on our mobile apps such as feature, regression and stress testing
• Creating and performing automated unit tests on code and API’s
• Perform testing and checking on embedded code
• Support the creation of test strategies and methodologies
• Documenting results and working with the developers to resolve issues and work to finding root cause

Essential Skills:

• 1 – 6 Years experience as a Software Test Engineer
• Experience of developing test plans, scenarios and test cases
• Experience of running tests for functionality, usability and performance
• Good communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively with the rest of the engineering team
• Experience with test case management systems such as TestRail etc.
• Experience with defect management

Desirable Skills:

• Experience of Unit Testing
• Experience Testing Mobile Applications (Both iOS and Android)
• Testing of embedded software in products
• Experience of testing REST API’s
• Generating Documentation for both internal and external use.
• Automation Testing (e.g Appium)
